Business Development Representative (BDR) - Smart Church Solutions
About the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for outbound prospecting, lead qualification, appointment setting, and live chat engagement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys engaging with potential customers, and is motivated by hitting targets. You will be the first point of contact for many churches, helping them discover how eSPACE can serve their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill Account Executives Pipeline:
- Research and identify new leads in our target market.
- Conduct outbound efforts (calls, emails, social media outreach) to warm and cold prospects.
- Engage with leads who have downloaded or utilized free resources.
- Qualify prospects to ensure they are a good fit for eSPACE before scheduling demos with the sales team.
- Engage & Follow Up:
- Make 250+ outbound calls per week to new contacts.
- Send 100+ outreach emails per week to nurture leads.
- Use multiple channels (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.) to connect with decision-makers.
- Maintain timely follow-ups to progress leads through the sales pipeline.
- Monitor & Respond to Live Chat:
- Actively monitor the website’s live chat during business hours.
- Engage with website visitors in real time, answering basic questions and directing them to the appropriate next step.
- Capture and qualify leads from chat conversations to hand off to the sales team.
- CRM & Sales Support:
- Accurately log and track all activities and interactions in Brevo (CRM) daily.
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue and other team members on lead strategy.
- Join daily/weekly meetings with the revenue team as deemed appropriate.
- Join other misc meetings as assigned.
- Assist with other administrative sales tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- We’re seeking a high-energy, mission-aligned Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive top-of-funnel activity, build pipeline, and help more churches discover how eSPACE can serve as their 24/7 facility management solution.
- As a BDR, your primary responsibility is to identify and qualify new opportunities through outbound outreach and inbound lead engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with Account Executives and Marketing to ensure a consistent flow of discovery calls and qualified demos.
Ramp-Up & Performance Expectations
The first 90 days will serve as a ramp-up period. Successful performance will lead to continued full time employment and benefits.
Training & Expectations During Ramp-Up:
Receive internal sales training and mentorship.
- Receive general product and industry training
- Meet weekly activity targets:
- 250 calls
- 100+ new contact emails
- Generate 5-7 qualified demos per week by the end of 90 days.
- Respond to 100% of live chat inquiries within business hours as assigned.
- Return inbound discovery calls within 10 minutes or less during business hours.
Compensation & Hours
Compensation: $50k / year and $100 per demo scheduled and attended (uncapped)
