International Mission Board is hiring a
Remote AI Engineer - Contract

Are you an experienced AI Engineer professional with a desire to impact the world for Jesus?

The International Mission Board, a nonprofit religious organization in Richmond, VA, is hiring for an AI Engineer - 1 Year Contract!

Location: REMOTE
Rate: $95-100K

The AI Engineer will develop cutting-edge AI solutions that align with our mission and values and work with Prediction Guard to implement and optimize AI systems, focusing on enhancing our projects’ impact and efficiency.   

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy AI and machine learning models to support IMB's global mission strategies
  • Collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to train AI models, ensuring high accuracy and performance.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and fine-tuning of AI models to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions. Assist others with how AI can be incorporated as part of solutions to their challenges.
  • Identify and explore new AI technologies and methodologies to continuously improve our solutions and help the IMB establish itself as a leader in missional AI innovation.
  • Maintain proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, and frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Ensure AI solutions are developed and implemented with a strong focus on ethical standards and align with our mission and values.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in AI and machine learning development and deployment
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R, and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Relevant machine learning, coding, and AI licenses and/or certifications (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Plan, execute, and oversee AI projects from inception to deployment 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Experience developing and implementing AI algorithms and models using programming language 
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to develop robust AI models
