Remote Director of E-Commerce

At Ligonier Ministries, our mission is to proclaim, teach, and defend the holiness of God in all its fullness to as many people as possible. For over 50 years, God has used this ministry to equip Christians worldwide with trusted biblical teaching. Today, as we expand our global reach, we are seeking a Director of E-Commerce to lead our digital storefront and customer experience strategy.

The Director of E-Commerce will oversee Ligonier’s online sales presence, managing our platforms, shaping customer journeys, and driving growth—all while ensuring every initiative reinforces our theological vision and ministry impact. This strategic leader will align commerce initiatives with global outreach priorities, creating pathways for more people to encounter biblical truth.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy aligned with Ligonier’s mission.
- Oversee digital storefront design, ensuring a user-friendly, trustworthy, and mission-consistent experience.
- Optimize performance through data-driven insights, improving conversion, retention, and customer engagement.
- Lead adoption of innovative tools and platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Amazon Vendor Central) to expand ministry reach.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate discipleship opportunities and donor engagement into the customer journey.
- Manage operations, fulfillment, and vendor relationships with excellence.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive leadership in e-commerce, with proven results in strategy and revenue growth.
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, and close attention to detail.
- Experience with Shopify Plus, third-party logistics, and omni-channel strategies preferred.
- Alignment with Ligonier’s Core Statement of Faith.

The pay range for this position is $125,000 – $140,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
