Web Developer

📍 Edmonton

Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer to join our team. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for strategizing and then building and maintaining visually stunning and highly functional websites and website applications using multiple code languages and platforms; primarily Wordpress and Webflow. In addition, you will work closely with our design and marketing teams to translate designs into interactive and responsive web experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and marketers to understand project requirements and website objectives and translate them into a comprehensive website strategy, including developing site wireframes, sitemaps, information architecture, content planning, and user journey mapping. 
  • Work with our internal design team to translate site designs into functional websites and web applications
  • Develop, test and launch custom websites, landing pages, web applications while ensuring high quality, performance, and responsiveness across all devices
  • Implement animations, interactions, and other dynamic elements to enhance user engagement and experience
  • Integrate third-party services and APIs as needed to extend functionality
  • Optimize websites / web applications for speed, SEO, and accessibility
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations, features, trends, and best web practices, including continually-evolving changes in the world of AI
  • Build intuitive, user-friendly CMS, that are dynamic and easily editable for our clients 
  • Managing & overseeing web contractors
  • Ongoing maintenance and servicing of client websites and web applications on a monthly or quarterly basis  


Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in industry (ideally in an agency setting)
  • Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your website projects
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a deep understanding of responsive web design principles
  • Proficiency in codeless/headless CMS with ability to create custom websites and web applications 
  • Experience in UI/UX design and an ability to translate design concepts into visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces with seamless and robust user experiences
  • Experience with custom code implementation in Wordpress & Webflow using HTML embeds, custom CSS, and JavaScript
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly web experiences
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be located in Canada, with a preference for Western Canada (ideally Edmonton)
  • Bonus: Experience with other web development frameworks and platforms
