Founded by Dallas Jenkins following the global success of The Chosen, 5&2 has expanded into producing both scripted and unscripted series, an animated series, and an expansive library of digital content. The independent studio also manages its own distribution, marketing, studio facilities, and consumer product line.

The Sr. Manager, Paid Media, plays a key role in helping our stories reach audiences around the world. This role sits within the marketing organization and reports to the Director, Performance Marketing. This is a remote role with some travel required.

This leader will help design and execute performance-driven paid media campaigns that increase brand awareness, grow viewership, and drive meaningful engagement across our expanding ecosystem of content, products, and fan experiences.

ABOUT THE ROLE 
The Sr. Manager, Paid Media is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid media campaigns across a diverse set of digital channels including search, social, connected TV, and display networks.

This role combines strategy, analytics, and creative collaboration. You will partner across marketing, creative, and strategy teams to ensure campaigns reach the right audiences with the right message at the right time.

Success in this role requires both a strong analytical mindset and a passion for mission-driven storytelling. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating data into insights, managing agency partnerships, and continuously optimizing campaigns to maximize impact and return on investment.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Paid Media Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute paid media strategies aligned with broader marketing and growth goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with the studio’s paid media agency of record (AOR), including campaign approvals, reporting cadence, and performance communication.
  • Launch and optimize campaigns across platforms, including:
  • Google Ads
  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
  • LinkedIn
  • TikTok
  • Snapchat
  • Programmatic display networks
  • Connected TV (CTV/OTV)
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize targeting, creative, and bidding strategies to maximize return on investment.
  • Conduct keyword research, audience segmentation, and creative testing to improve performance.
  • Manage campaign pacing, budget allocation, and bid strategies to ensure efficient use of marketing spend.
  • Utilize automated bidding strategies such as Target CPA, Target ROAS, and Maximize Conversions to scale performance.

Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
  • Build and maintain paid media dashboards and reporting frameworks using tools such as Looker Studio, Datorama, or similar platforms.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, including CTR, CPC, CPA, CAC, ROAS, and impressions.
  • Translate campaign data into clear recommendations that inform creative strategy, budget allocation, and campaign optimization.
  • Present campaign results, insights, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously test new channels, formats, and campaign approaches to expand reach and improve performance.
  • Ensure proper conversion tracking and campaign measurement, including UTM tagging and attribution tracking.
  • Manage attribution tools and reporting frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Establish measurable KPIs and deliver timely performance insights.

Collaboration & Partnership
  • Partner closely with creative, content, and marketing strategy teams to develop compelling advertising creative and messaging.
  • Collaborate with marketing strategy leaders to ensure paid media campaigns support broader business objectives.
  • Work alongside internal teams to align landing pages, campaign messaging, and audience targeting with strategic briefs.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships to ensure execution meets performance benchmarks and KPIs.
  • Serve as a key partner across marketing initiatives, helping campaigns scale effectively while maintaining brand integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5–7+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns in a digital marketing or agency environment.
  • Proven experience working across major advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using marketing analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting performance, and optimizing spend.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and conversion rate optimization.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with programmatic advertising and demand-side platforms (DSPs).
  • Certifications in digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads or Meta Blueprint.
  • A creative and experimental mindset with a passion for continuous testing and optimization.
