Senior Solution Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to play an essential role in aligning our cloud technology choices and direction to the vision of the Ministry.  This professional will focus on cloud computing architecture costs/benefit analysis to determine technical, operational, and financial solutions. Analyze technical products and systems; design and recommend sound solutions based on industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Use Critical Success Factors to design the solutions and Key Performance Indicators to evaluate the solution. Works closely with the Enterprise Architects to establish standards and implements processes related to cloud architecture.  Acts as an advisor to other Practice Area Leaders and Management during annual planning to help determine cloud solutions and costs.  Identifies SAAS, PAAS, and IAAS opportunities within solutions and portfolios.

Responsible for development, design, implementation, and analysis of technical products, systems, and services for an Enterprise class IT Infrastructure and Cloud Technologies.  Analyze, design, develop, and implement Enterprise Information Technology solutions to support the IT Service goals of the organization.  Should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within three or more of the following Engineering specialties: Enterprise-class Computing operating systems and hardware, Enterprise Storage systems, Data Protection and Recovery, Virtualization, Internet Technologies, Messaging, Management Systems, and basic security principles. Although not a management role, the role includes offering exceptional mentoring and advising skills; much of their work will require the ability to successfully influence and mentor as opposed to directing and mandating.
