Senior Information Technology Auditor

Samaritan's Purse is looking for a Senior Information Technology Auditor, to join our Internal Audit team in Boone, NC. This position will conduct/perform audits to ascertain the effectiveness and adequacy of Samaritan's Purse Internal Controls. Ensure the accuracy of financial records and standard of performance while also making sure items comply with Samaritan's Purse policies and procedures as well as with the law and regulations. This role will primarily focus on the technology aspects of Samaritan's Purse while integrating into the audit plan.  

A Day in the life of a Senior Information Technology Auditor:

In the role of Senior Information Technology Auditor, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Conduct information technology/systems, financial, and operational, audits of the various functions of areas of Samaritan's Purse in accordance with the approved audit plan
  • Prepare written reports with comprehensive summaries and recommendations of audits for the Audit Committee, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Board Consultants, and appropriate management
  • Review audit issues with the management of the audited area and the Chief Financial Officer to evaluate plans to implement corrective action
  • Assist in executing a comprehensive audit plan for Samaritan's Purse
  • Assist in establishing departmental policies and procedures while performing technical and administrative activities for the department
  • Protect and maintain information acquired in the course of performing duties confidentially
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Management Information systems, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Preferred Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA),  or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud and application programming interfaces, networking, infrastructure/ perimeter security, authentication controls, endpoint security, development security, incident response, disasters reverify, vendor/third party management, Peoplesoft Human Capital Management, and Peoplesoft Financials and Supply Chain Management
  • Strong communication skills- written and verbal
  • Ability to build trust with teams
  • Comfortable working closely with people at all levels of management and the Board of Directors, at times in stressful situations displaying integrity, discernment, sound judgment, and confidentiality  
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, especially dealing with Excel
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, the opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.

Type: Full-Time
Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
Travel Expectations: 60 days/annually of domestic and international travel; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
