Summary
To serve the members of Samaritan Ministries International (SMI) by leading the recruitment and hiring process as well as engaging in staff relations and other aspects of the Human Resources (HR) policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Schedule and conduct interviews with qualified applicants by: reviewing the resumes of applicants to determine a potential fit; evaluating a fit for candidates as part of the organization as a whole and as part of a specific team; determining applicant qualifications by asking appropriate interview questions, analyzing responses, verifying references and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Partner with department leadership to determine staffing needs.
- Compile data and establish recruiting metrics to aid decisions for improvement in the hiring process.
- Improve organizational attractiveness by: recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
- Engaging in staff relations’ meetings, investigations, relationship reconciliation, and exit interviewing as needed.
- Assisting with the development of a staff-oriented culture that emphasizes Biblical practices, quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and servant leadership.
- Assisting in the implementation and creation of all HR policies and programs as directed by the Staffing Manager.
- Attending various meetings as assigned by the Staffing Manager.
- Assisting in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of assigned projects keeping in mind established goals of the department.
- Recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Completing HR-related projects as assigned by the Staffing Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Four-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Track record in designing and executing successful Recruiting programs preferred
- Familiarity with modern recruiting and interviewing methods
- SHRM CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL (SHRM-CP) Preferred
- Good English and communication skills
- Must be able to present complex information in an understandable manner
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to relate to all different types of personalities
- Demonstrated ability to lead presentations, meetings, discussions
- Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate and encourage individuals
- Attention to detail
- Spiritual sensitivity to understand the candidate’s understanding and agreement to the Statement of Faith
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases (Basic)
- In-depth knowledge of labor law (Basic) and HR best practices (Basic)
- Aptitude in problem-solving (Intermediate)
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to think clearly, strategically and analytically
- Willingness to grow in skills, knowledge and capability, in line with goals agreed upon with Manager
Additional Information
- Office location: Samaritan Ministries Dallas Regional Office
- Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment, requiring use of computer and mouse and other standard office equipment. Staff usually remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Staff will observe safety principles while performing the duties of the position.
- Staff may be required to travel and have a valid driver's license.
